THE NEW SATSTATION FORUM IS BACK ONLINE AT LAST!
We have this this evening completed the upgrade of the SatStation.co.uk forum from the old SMF system to the new vBulletin system. This we hope will now offer us all many extra benefits over the coming months and years over the old setup.
We have been able to import all existing memebers and posts, post counts, threads etc. but we just have a couple of things you should be made aware of:
1) If you are an existing user (and if you are receiving this email you probably are) then you will need to reset your password on your very first login. To do this simply use the forgotten password link which will reset your password and email it to you once you enter your correct email address.
Because of the security of moving over from one forum type to another we have no way around this but you'll only need do this the once, it only takes a matter of seconds normally and you can then change your password to one of your choice.
2) We tried to import all existing attachments into the downloads area, this appears to have been a success! If you find any attachments missing then please let us know so we can correct it.
Those are the two main things we wanted to make your aware of, there are also one or two very minor consmetic changes, we'll be fixing these over the next few days as well but other than that we'd like to welcome you all back to the new look forum and hope we'll all start to enjoy the benefits straight away!
If you do spot any major problems and/or you have major problems with the password reset option please report them to me (YODA) via PM or reply to this thread with full details and we'll do our very best to look into it ASAP.
