Using a diseque switch on my eaglebox mini

Hi am relatively new to all this.
I have an [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] hd mini and have a sly dish and a motorised system attatched to my box by a diseque switch.
My problem is that I can't find an option to switch between the two [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]s.
Does anybody have any ideas that can help me. Many thanks people.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think its possible to go through a diseq switch and then drive a dish.

There are two types of DiSEqC switch as I understand (though happy to be corrected if wrong), there are committed and non-committed but just as important is a receiver that's able to send a second DiSEqC command which rules out most closed source receivers I would have thought and probably needs something Enigma 2 based? I have to say even then with the right receiver I am still not 100% sure even then you can run a DiSEqC motor through a DiSEqC switch as I think it can only work with a direct connection to a DiSEqC receiver, I think the idea of the different switches is not for connecting a motor but rather feeding off to other DiSEqC switches - I guess the other option would be using an old style actuator motorised setup with something like a V-Box to control it though this seems a massive effort to go to for something like this and as a guess is not something you'd be wanting to bother with.

I don't see the point either, it's not a though it will allow you to watch 1 prog and record another, better off just using the motorised dish.

Sorry mate I was just updating my post when you replied as after a bit of reading up I don't think it probably is possible now anyway (though couldn't be 100% sure to be honest) but agree that there would probably not be much point in it in most instances though I can think of one where say your motorised dish can't see the full arc, so for example it gets 13E to 30W but that means you'd also have a fixed dish mounted on 19E and 28.2E somewhere else, so you'd want to switch between them all, can't see there being very many setups like that mind you but guess that's an example genuine reason for it?

Got a [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] mini and a bush hd freesat box downstairs and running a [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 5000 upstairs linked to the motorised by dual [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
Want to have control of the dish downstairs as wife gets fed up with footy so I want to put dish to hotbird so can watch football upstairs on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and wife can watch corrie in he downstairs.
So back to the original question.
How do I control the disequ switch using the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] hd?

It's getting a bit confussing to be honest so lets confirm:

You have 3 receivers in total 1) Freesat TV 2) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 5000 3) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
You have 2 dishes in total 1) Fixed dish on 28.2 East 2) Motorised dish (with DiSEqC motor)

Is the above correct and if so what dishes need to be connected to what and where does your mention of a DiSEqC switch come into it?

I just wanted to confirm you can run a static dish and motorised dish through a diseqc switch, i do a lot of these installs where most people have a static sky dish and a motorised, I am unsure on the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] as i have never yet had a customer with one but i would assume if its Diseqc compliant it will work.

On an Enigma 1 & 2 receiver you set your input to advanced and set each satellite up as diseqc 1.0 and dependant on which port you have which dish the i would assume Motor on Input 1 and Sky dish on input 2 so you would do the following:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

As you can see from the above images on this one the Motor is on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]2 with Committed diseqc command AB and the Sky dish is on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]1 with Committed diseqc command AA.

So basically you just go through every other satellite and setup them up as [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]2 with diseqc AB .
