Brand new discussion section for the GigaBlue E2 receivers

This new discussion section is now open for our members for all the usual chat, help and support for the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] range of receivers. I've had one of the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] HD 800 SE myself for the past few days and been playing around with it and very impressed, I've tried all the usual features that most users would want to use with this and so far not found anything that didn't work (not that I've tried every single feature yet) but CCcam, Oscam (not tried a viewing card just yet - though read they are working OK) , CrossEPG, external USB drive, all working very nice along with the latest Catseye channel list and a USALS motorised dish.

I find the Team Red image a little unstable BUT the OpenAAF image appears to be fantastic so far and I'd suggest you go for this one at the moment as it not only works well it makes it very easy to start setting up with a great addons server.

I don't think there are any Solo images on here yet as its the 800 SE our [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] will be stocking so that's what I'll personally be sticking with but as they are both similar then this section and the downloads is for both so if you do have anything to post feel free

I also have the Solo, so as Yoda has confirmed it is ok, I will post some of the latest images on here in the next day or so. Most of the plugins and downloads would work with both receivers, but the images are specific to each receiver

Just read your guide for flashing the gigabyte se with USB. What does "Download the latest [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] HD 800 SE Pre-Flash" do and how do you know if required.

It's basically for want of a better description to flash a small file on the receiver so it's then able to take the full E2 images, a similar idea to what they call bootloaders on other receivers (though not quite the same). Chances are if you have one of the latest 800S2 from our [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] it'll already have this done straight from the factory anyway but it only takes seconds to do and it won't do any harm re-doing if it's already been done, so if you're not 100% sure then load it on anyway as it just takes seconds (the actual firmware file will take a fair while longer).

Hi ,

Today flashed Team Red Image and AAf. the open AAF is much better. Bouquets work fine, Plugins good. The only thing i cant get to work is ccam, have it in correct location and installed plugin and everything looks fine. Any ideas, had it working in Team Red image but dont want to return to it if all possible.

Edit had Send DiSEqC: No instead of yes. And also the ccam is not autostarting. is there a way to fix this.

Anyone use crossepg with this image also ?

yea i use mgcamd and it doesnt autostart either, keep having to start it manually...

That seems to be something related to the OpenPLi base (which OpenAAF is based from) as I have found just the same thing on other receivers running OpenPLi, so I'm not 100% sure on the answer right but it's not a specific [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] thing, not had chance to play about with the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] of late (or any receivers much come to that) but it may help you work how how to set it to autostart, sure it will be possible one way or another... I only ever found this happens when you give the receiver(s) a full restart )power off then on or full restart of Enigma2), if it's just left in standby then no such issue, and to be honest I never turn mine off at the mains unless it really needs it.

CrossEPG I had running fine on the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with the OpenAAF image using OpenTV as the source for 28.2 East, no real issues at all with that one and was set to perforum a daily download in the early hours of the morning.

Hi

Great little,box for the money.
I download the cam this time form the soft cam panel and changed permissions on ccam.cfg to755 after renaming it from name. It's now auto starting 100 every time.
