isp connection or other

I bought a [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 5402 with all chanels working but my connection kept freezing, the guy i bought the setup from told me to get on to my service provider and complain my download speed needs increasing which i did, this is when i started having trouble.
after contacting them was advised to connect my ethernet cable to my pc and went through a system with them to increase my speed, but what followed was within 2days my box was off and just got a scrambled chanel across a black screen, did not connect any more until i changed provider - now after going through all the hassle of changing my provider and after working fine for a couple of minutes again my box has got scrambled chanel across the tv screen-please does anyone know if this is my new isp or other

If the receiver has got an internet connection and the details entered are correct it will work, it's not your ISP, speak to the guy who provided you with the 'service' as the problem is their end and not with the receiver, this highlights the danagers of of payservers and exactly why you shouldn't buy these things from these people but do your own homework on them, to late for you in this instance but you've still got a receiver that's more than capable of many things so it's not the end of the world.

Please keep in mind forum rules now please as we really can't go any further with help on this one because of the nature of the problem, but either get in touch with the guy that provided you with this or better still walk away from them and start to do your own research, in the long run this will be your best option.
