Which is the best twin tuner available with 2 x DVB/S2 and RF modulator?
Is linux better than non linux?
Is it better to buy a linux twin tuner and add a RF modulator via scart?

I have already explained the difference between linux and non-linux for you in thread [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Please get in the habit of using your open threads for additional posts rather than opening up new ones for similar questions, and you may find that using our search facility and wiki reveals answers to many topics.
The choice between linux and non-linux depends on what you intend to do, and what skills you have. For a non-technical person who just wants to record from Astra at 28.2E (the UK FTA and S K Y satellite) then a non-linux box would be the best choice. For a techie with a 1 Mtr motorised dish then linux is the obvious choice. Then again the depth of your pockets will also influence choice. As a pensioner I am very happy with my twin tuner [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]HD mini from our [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] at a little over £200, whilst some of my friends rave about their ClarkeTech and VU-Duo boxes, and of course the DM range is agreed to be the definitive standard.
I would be surprised to find any model of any type that has been around more than a year or so that does not have a UHF-RF output, but this is the poorest signal out and hardly does justice to the current HD boxes, and most TVs sold in the last 20 years have at least a scart input, with component out on many and hdmi on all new flat panel TVs. In fact if you are looking at a HD twin tuner and only have co-ax rf input then I suggest you change your TV at the same time.
To my knowledge there is only one box with twin tuners and an RF out built in and its not available yet that would be the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Twin OE there new Twin Tuner Linux receiver.
Your latter option would be better though as the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Duo and Et9200 have been out longer and so have more support available
